Privacy policy

You do not need an account to use RentalCarReady, and the checker does not ask for your name, address, payment details or documents. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising outside the standard advertising technologies described below.

We collect basic website usage and interaction analytics through Google Analytics (GA4). This includes things like pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and simple interaction events such as starting or completing a requirement check. We use this only to understand which airports and questions matter to renters and to improve the tool.

Google Analytics sets cookies or similar identifiers to do this. Analytics data is aggregated for our reporting and is not used by us to identify individual visitors.

RentalCarReady uses Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, IP addresses, device and browser information, and similar technologies to serve, measure and — where permitted — personalise advertising, and to limit how often you see the same ad and detect invalid traffic.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can review how Google handles data from sites that use its services in Google's partner-sites notice, read the Google Privacy Policy, and manage or opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party advertising cookies via aboutads.info and Your Online Choices, and control cookies through your browser settings.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires it — for example the EEA, the UK or Switzerland — you may be presented with a consent notice before advertising and non-essential analytics technologies are used, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time through that notice or your browser settings. Where consent is declined or not given, advertising is limited to non-personalised advertising.

RentalCarReady may use affiliate links in the future and may earn a commission from qualifying referrals or bookings. Affiliate relationships never affect the rental requirements, statuses or results shown to you: the answers on this site come from published airport and rental-company sources, and no partner can change a record in our database. Where a partner link is present it will be clearly labelled.

If you use the feedback or mismatch-reporting functionality, the information you choose to include — such as the airport, rental company, pickup date, payment method and what actually happened at the counter, plus your email address if you add it — is used to investigate and correct the rental information we publish, and to reply to you if a follow-up question is needed. Please do not send documents, card numbers or other sensitive personal details; we do not need them. Reports currently reach us by email at corrections@rentalcarready.com.

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' configured retention period. Correction reports are kept for as long as they are useful for maintaining the accuracy of the database. We take reasonable technical measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

RentalCarReady is intended for adults arranging car rentals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information relating to you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, or to ask anything about this policy, email corrections@rentalcarready.com.

We will update this page if our analytics, advertising or affiliate practices change, and will revise the “last updated” date above.
